ANCAP Response to the Latest Results
Carla Hoorweg, chief executive officer of ANCAP, said the results highlight the benchmarks required for top safety scores.
“It’s encouraging to see improvements in safety performance across the market, this latest rating achieved by the e VITARA is evidence Suzuki can produce a model that offers sound levels of safety performance,” Hoorweg said.
“These outcomes show that higher levels of safety are within reach, and that continued focus on delivering consistent performance across all areas is key to achieving the highest rating.”
Updated ratings for existing vehicles
ANCAP also issued revised ratings for the Audi A3, Cupra Leon, and Nissan Qashqai following specification updates and reassessment.
The Audi A3 and Cupra Leon both retained their five-star ratings, continuing to perform strongly across safety categories.
The Nissan Qashqai was downgraded to a four-star rating. While it maintained strong results for child occupant protection, its performance in other areas did not meet current five-star thresholds.
