Collectively, these leaders bring a powerful blend of digital innovation, strategic procurement, operational excellence, sustainability, safety leadership, policy expertise and real-world fleet experience. Their shared commitment to lifting professional standards and supporting organisational success ensures a strong future for our members across Australasia.
President – Eden Shirley
Founder and CEO, AutoGuru
Eden is a transformational leader whose work has reshaped how automotive maintenance is delivered in Australia. As Founder and CEO of AutoGuru and the driving force behind FleetGuru’s rapid expansion, he has enabled Fleet Management Organisations to operate with greater transparency, efficiency and control. Eden brings entrepreneurial energy, digital expertise and a clear vision for how technology can simplify and elevate fleet operations across the region.
Vice President – Thomas Brayley
General Manager City Fleet – City of Logan
Thomas’s career spans more than sixteen years in the Australian local government fleet sector across New South Wales and Queensland, following earlier fleet and logistics roles in the UK supporting gas, communications, rail and renewable-energy utilities. Known for his innovative and sustainability-focused approach, he brings strategic capability grounded in hands-on operational experience. Thomas is committed to building strong teams and driving improvements that help organisations thrive.
Treasurer – Paul Sor
Head of Property and Procurement – Vasey RSL Care
Paul offers a calm, collaborative leadership style shaped by experience across Vasey RSL Care, Red Cross and Lifeblood. With strong capability in fleet, property and procurement, he consistently delivers improved operational, safety and environmental outcomes. Paul is recognised for empowering teams, strengthening systems and ensuring sound financial management, making him a valuable contributor to AfMA’s governance.

Nina Abbey
Head of Indirect Sourcing and Procurement – Elders Ltd
Nina brings broad expertise in procurement, sourcing and risk management, developed through roles with the Royal Australian Navy and Elders. She previously served as a Director on the Agsafe Board and holds professional qualifications from the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD). With a strong focus on sustainability, governance, and recent experience in fleet procurement, Nina adds valuable strategic and operational depth to the Board’s capabilities.
Darren Gore
General Manager – Summit Fleet Leasing and Management
With more than 30 years in fleet and automotive management, Darren offers deep operational insight and a proven ability to influence positive change. His experience at Custom Fleet, GE Capital and his leadership at Summit Fleet highlight a strong customer-focused mindset. Darren understands the realities of large fleet operations and brings a grounded, trusted voice to AfMA.
Anna Martinis
Manager – Electric Fleets and Fleet Vehicle Integration – NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW)
Anna is a respected sustainability specialist and a key contributor to Australia’s evolving transport decarbonisation agenda. Her leadership in developing NSW’s first EV policy and her current work in EV integration government programs provide vital expertise in emerging technologies and strategic transition planning. Anna brings future-focused thinking at a national policy level.
Richard Schuster
Principal – The Fleet Source
Richard is one of Australia’s most experienced fleet professionals, with over 40 years shaping best practice across the sector. His achievements include leading Telstra’s national fleet, pioneering early EV adoption, driving award-winning safety programs and implementing large-scale environmental initiatives. Richard’s deep technical knowledge and long-term perspective add immense value to the Board.
Satinder Sahota
Director Fleet Services – Transport Canberra and City Services
Satinder is a seasoned fleet leader with almost two decades of experience within the ACT Government. As Director of Fleet Services at Transport Canberra and City Services, he oversees a large and diverse fleet focused on safety, compliance, sustainability and operational efficiency. His strengths in procurement, lifecycle planning and data-driven fleet management, combined with a calm and strategic leadership style, make him a strong contributor to AfMA’s ongoing development.
