Vehicle wholesales in Indonesia have declined slightly by 0.8 per cent year-on-year (YoY). 

The Association of Indonesia Automotive Industries (GAIKINDO) released data on the country’s vehicle sales for the month of November 2025. A total of 74,252 vehicles were sold last month, 0.8 less compared to the same month last year. 

TOP BRANDS OF NOVEMBER 

Toyota remains Indonesia’s strongest car brand, selling 21,642 units for the month. The Japanese auto giant acquired 29.1 per cent of the market, but monthly sales have declined by 19.8 per cent. Its subsidiary, Daihatsu, follows in second place with 11,684 units sold. Daihatsu acquired 15.7 per cent market share and increased sales by 16.5 per cent YoY. 

BYD is the third best-selling brand with 9,481 units sold for November. The Chinese EV maker acquired only 12.8 per cent of the market share but saw the largest improvement in monthly sales. Compared to November of 2024, BYD’s sales rose by a staggering 233.6 per cent. The brand is the only non-Japanese vehicle brand in Indonesia’s top 5. 

Mitsubishi sold 7,402 units last month with exactly 10 per cent market share. Its sales also improved by 22.3 per cent YoY. 

Suzuki followed suit with 6,102 units sold and 8.2 per cent market share acquired. Suzuki’s sales improved slightly YoY by 8.2 per cent. 

TOP MODELS OF NOVEMBER 

Despite being Indonesia’s third best-selling brand for the month, BYD led individual model sales with its Atto 1 (Dolphin/Seagull) model. The Atto 1 sold 8,333 units upon its entry in November, acquiring 11.2 per cent of the market. 

Toyota dominated the top 10 with three models, namely; Kijiang Innova, Avanza, Calya, Rush, and Raize. The Kijiang Innova sold 4,475 units with 6 per cent market share acquired. The Avanza and Calya had similar sales with 3,912 units and 3,122 units sold respectively. In sales of less than 3,000 units, the Toyota Rush and Raize sold 2,597 units and 2,187 units respectively. 

Daihatsu claimed 2 spots in the top 10. The Daihatsu Gran Max Pikap ranked third overall with 4,4121 units soldclosely matching the Kijiang Innovamarket share of 6 per cent. The Daihatsu Gran Max BV/MB, while selling only 2,449 units, saw a 946.6 per cent improvement YoY. 

Suzuki managed to break into the top 10 with its Carry Pikap model. It sold 3,912 units for November, with 5.3 market share. This placed the model in 5th place with improved sales of 31.4 per cent YoY. 

Rounding out the list was the Mitsubishi XPander, which sold 2,147 units in November. Like the Toyota Raize, it acquired less than 3 per cent of the market share with sales lagging by 5.9 per cent YoY.
