AfMA is pleased to welcome Nick Stowe to the team as our new Industry Partnerships & Account Manager, bringing with him almost a decade of hands-on fleet experience and a strong connection to the AfMA community.

For many members, Nick may already be a familiar face.

Most recently Fleet Lead at Hydro Tasmania, Nick has spent close to 10 years working across fleet, including car rental and medium-sized utility fleet management. His experience has given him first-hand insight into many of the challenges AfMA members deal with every day – from vehicle selection and driver safety through to sustainability, electrification and managing fleets across complex operating environments.

Earlier this year, Nick proudly accepted the 2026 AfMA Fleet Environment Award on behalf of Hydro Tasmania, recognising the organisation’s work to reduce emissions and progress the electrification of its fleet.

Nick has also been an active contributor to the wider fleet community, sharing his experience and knowledge with industry peers.

Before moving into fleet, Nick spent around 20 years in the travel and tourism industry, building extensive experience in customer service, business development and account management.

As Industry Partnerships & Account Manager, Nick will work closely with AfMA’s members, corporate partners and industry stakeholders to strengthen relationships, identify opportunities for greater engagement and help ensure the work AfMA delivers continues to reflect the needs of the fleet community.

Importantly, he joins AfMA with an understanding of the industry from the practitioner’s side of the table.

Nick said joining AfMA was an opportunity to take his industry experience and use it to support the broader fleet community.

“Having been involved with AfMA as a fleet manager and on the local Chapter Committee, I’ve seen first-hand the value of bringing people together to share knowledge, experiences and practical solutions. I’m really looking forward to getting out and connecting with our members and partners, understanding what matters to them and finding new ways we can support the industry. Fleet is a very collaborative community and I’m excited to now be part of AfMA and contribute from the other side.”

AfMA Executive Director Mace Hartley said Nick’s practical fleet experience and existing connection with the industry made him a natural fit for the role.

“Nick brings something particularly valuable to AfMA – he understands the realities of managing a fleet because he has actually done it. He knows the challenges our members face and he already understands the importance of collaboration and knowledge sharing across our industry. Combined with his strong relationship and account management experience, I think Nick will be a great addition to the team and an important connection between AfMA, our members and our industry partners.”

Nick joins AfMA at an exciting time as the association continues to expand its education, professional development and industry engagement activities across Australia and New Zealand.

We look forward to introducing Nick to more of our members, partners and stakeholders over the coming weeks.

Please join us in welcoming Nick to AfMA.
