Extreme E, the pioneering motorsport series featuring electric vehicles, is gearing up for another year of exhilarating races and innovative technology.
The 2024 season will feature a new location, familiar destinations, and the exciting introduction of Extreme H–the motorsport series featuring hydrogen-powered vehicles coming in 2025.
Alejandro Agag, Founder and CEO of Extreme E expressed his excitement about the upcoming season. “If the 2024 campaign is anything like our first three, then our fans are going to be in for something special.”
2024 Season Schedule
The series will kick off in the breathtaking deserts of Saudi Arabia, as Rounds 1 and 2 are set to take place on 17-18 February.
Following the Saudi Arabian leg, the series will embark on a European tour for the next three X Prix. While the location of Rounds 3 and 4 on 13-14 July is yet to be announced, anticipation is building for another thrilling race in a yet-to-be-revealed European destination.
In a nod to tradition, Extreme E will return to the picturesque island of Sardinia in September for back-to-back rounds. Organized in collaboration with the Automobile Club d’Italia and Regione Sardegna, rounds 5 and 6, as well as 7 and 8, promise to deliver captivating off-road action against the stunning Mediterranean backdrop.
Sardinia will also set the stage for the demonstration and testing of the ground-breaking Extreme H cars, set to debut fully in 2025.
The 2024 season will conclude with a historic debut in the United States. The championship’s grand finale is scheduled to take place in late November in Phoenix, Arizona, marking an important milestone for Extreme E as it makes its first foray into the American market.
“It is a key market for us, and there is plenty of passion for off-road racing across the country, so we are looking forward to Extreme E’s debut in North America which will likely crown the victors of the championship,” Agag said.
