RenewEconomy and The Driven have announced that they are hosting the Electric Vehicle Transition conference in Sydney on August 26=27.
The electric vehicles transition – even in the absence of federal government policy – is upon us, and grid operators, regulators, policy markets, utilities and car makers are working out what it means for them and their customers.
Consumers are also hungry for knowledge, and any number of new and old businesses, from software developers to big multi-nationals, are looking for opportunities and a share of the pie.
The Electric Vehicle Transition conference – will be the first significant business-to-business event where these ideas can be discussed, in detail, over a two-day conference.
- Mark Butler, Labor’s Shadow Minister for Climate Change and Energy
- Shane Rattenbury, ACT minister
- BloombergNEF analyst Ali Asghar
- Powershop CEO Ed McManus
- Greensync CEO Phil Blythe

The conference will also feature speakers from the Australian Energy Market Operator, the Clean Energy Finance Corporation, Energeia, Hyundai, Essential Energy, Yurika, Transgrid, ABB, Tritium, Chargepoint, Jet Charge and Renew Estate’s Simon Corbell, and EV pioneer Simon Hackett.
