The launch of the new TCe 150 engine on Captur heralds a new era of driving pleasure on Renault’s compact SUV.

With 110kW of power vs. the current 88kW, this new motor delivers more punch and quicker acceleration.

In addition, the new engine delivers more torque with 250Nm at 1600rpm, an improved torque rating compared with the 1.2 TCe engine with 190Nm at 2000rpm.

These improvements do not come at the cost of fuel economy either, with the new engine delivering a 7% improvement in fuel economy at just 5.4l / 100km on the combined cycle.

The new 1.3 TCe engine comprises several innovations to deliver better performance:

Delta Cylinder Head – a compact shape which saves weight and improves performance
Bore Spray Coating – the cylinders receive a plasma treatment to cut fuel consumption through minimizing friction and reduced weight
Variable Value Timing with Rocker Arm – a new system which generates less internal friction and greater durability
High Pressure Direct Injection and 6-hole vertical injection – the holes provide better atomization of the fuel which is fed in at a higher pressure than the 1.2TCe
This new engine is available on the limited edition Captur S-Edition.

The 162 units of the Captur S-Edition bring many new design elements to the model and paired with the new engine, it is the model’s sportiest version.

The limited-edition version sits at the top of the range and the vehicle’s assertive stance is accentuated by the availability of an exclusive two-tone metallic finish of Iron Blue combined with a Diamond Black roof.

Captur S-Edition’s eye-catching look is further enhanced by the fitment of 17-inch ‘Filante’ diamond-cut alloy wheels and smart S-Edition badging.

The overall effect is further compounded by Gun Metal Grey door protection inserts and skid plates (front and rear).

Captur S-Edition’s chic, sporty cabin features exclusive Alcantara leather upholstery with blue top stitching which is carried over to the arm rest, steering wheel, gear lever bellows and parking brake.

The latest limited-edition Captur also stands out through its technology package which incorporates R-LINK 2, front, side and rear parking sensors, a reversing camera, Easy Park Assist, BOSE® premium sound system and Blind Sport Warning.

Four different two-tone metallic paint finish combinations are available; a unique Iron Blue with Diamond Black roof, specific to S-Edition, Pearl White with Black Roof, Mercury Grey with Black roof and Oyster Grey with Black roof.

Vehicles have already begun to arrive in Australia.
