Firstly, I’d like to thank our sponsors, exhibitors and delegates for registering to participate at our Australasian Fleet Conference & Exhibition that was scheduled for the 7th & 8th May 2020. Bookings have been fantastic until the uncertainty of COVID-19.

Every organisation has and is being impacted by COVID-19 and so too is AfMA. As you know, AfMA is a self-funded peak industry body and a member-based organisation. Over 60% of our annual revenues are raised through our conference from the support of members and supplier organisations seeking to make a difference in the lives of drivers and those who manage the fleets.

AfMA’s board have unanimously supported the postponement of our conference from May to a date yet to be confirmed. We are working with the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, Crown Casino, Moreton Hire, our MC Jon Faine and others to find a suitable date in October/November 2020.

The decision to postpone was simple once we put aside the financial losses. We operate in a risk based industry and therefore actively support the advice from the World Health Organisation (WHO), various government bodies, our WH&S obligations to our team and our social responsibility to our members, non-members and their families.

Until further notice, AfMA is limiting all travel and face-to-face meetings of any size. Our next range of Professional Development Forums are scheduled in July and August and its hoped we’ll all have a better understanding of what the new normal is in relation to COVID-19 by June.

As they say the show must go on, and it will, in October or November this year. We will advise you of the new dates as soon as they can be locked down.

Thank you for your support and give us a call on one of the below numbers if you have any questions:
