Partnership with Intelematics brings Aeris to Australia and New Zealand

Australian telematics provider Intelematics has partnered with global IoT solutions provider, Aeris enabling the expansion of Aeris connected services into the Australian and New Zealand markets.

Intelematics will be providing support surrounding interface design, application development and technology integration services for the Aeris Mobility Suite (AMS) platform.

The AMS features include stolen vehicle tracking, accident notifications (eCall) services, remote vehicle services (including lock/unlock and remote start), subscription and payment management, and vehicle software updates.

“Connectivity is the future for vehicles in ANZ and our partnership with Aeris will help to ensure car manufacturers and distributors can provide the best possible experiences for drivers,” Intelematics CEO, Nick Marks said.

“This technology exists in new cars sold today, but it remains mostly dormant in Australia and New Zealand as global platforms are too complicated or too expensive to operate in our region, limiting the ability to provide Australian-oriented service offerings and incorporate local partner service providers.

“Using Aeris’ platform, we can help our customers switch these features on so our market and consumers can realise the benefits of connected vehicles.”

Vice President and General Manager of Aeris automotive business unit, Raj Kanaya, believes consumer expectations of an integrated, digitised in-vehicle solution are rising.

“Our partnership with Intelematics, will help ANZ OEMs and distributors meet these expectations and, in turn, will increase brand loyalty and revenue,” Mr Kanaya said.

“Intelematics has been at the forefront of telematics since 1999, and Aeris is excited to be partnering with them to bring a more connected future to the auto industry.”
