Obligations to Provide Safe Mobile Workplace during Stage 4 Lockdown

By August 6, 2020 COVID-19

While many Melbourne Metro businesses are now closed for onsite work as of 11.59pm this past Wednesday, there are others that will continue to operate to provide essential services.

Importantly, businesses continue to have a work health & safety obligation to provide a safe mobile workplace.

For this reason, businesses providing vehicle repair, servicing and maintenance can remain open to provide support to a permitted service or industry or where required to maintain the health and safety of Victorians at home or at work.

These businesses must have clearly stated conditions relating to the use of face masks, sanitation, hygiene stations, minimum staff levels, a COVID Safe Plan, contactless services and social distancing.

Many of AfMA supplier members remain open to assist you in maintaining your vehicle fleet during lockdowns.

Give your preferred supplier a call to see how they can help you during this difficult time. To find out more about our list of Supplier members why not have a browse through our Supplier directory?
