BP Pulse, a sub-brand of BP, has opened a pair of electric vehicle (EV) chargers in one of its refuelling sites in Melbourne. This marks the brand’s first foray into catering to both ICE and EVs.

The charging station is located in Diamon Creek and can charge two vehicles at a time. Both chargers offer both CHAdeMO and CCS plugs that can charge up to 75kW each with the option to upgrade to 150kW.

According to BP Pulse, “initial pricing will be $0.55 per kWh”. Users also don’t need a membership or subscription to pay for charging. Users only need the bp pulse app to activate, recharge and pay.

This launch is part of BP’s multi-year deal with Tritium announced in March 2022 to supply fast chargers in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand.
