Fiat Chrysler Australia has issued a safety recall for all versions of its 2014 Fiat Ducato ‘FL’ model light commercial van.
The recall surrounds suspension components which, according to the Product Safety Australia website, “may not conform to the required standard”.
In detailing the affects of the defect, the announcement is relatively non-descriptive, stating that, “if the rear suspension leaf springs do not meet the standard they may affect vehicles performance, becoming an accident hazard to road users.”
AFMA has contacted Fiat Chrysler Australia for more detail on the defect and its potential safety concern.
Only 15 vehicles have been listed by VIN number on the PSA website. But fleet customers are strongly urged to contact their nearest Fiat dealer to organise inspection and addressing of the safety issue.
