After 10 years of supporting Australia’s peak industry body for fleet management (AfMA), Manheim have decided to end its corporate partnership support but will continue their membership, attendance at professional development forums and AfMA’s annual conference & exhibition.

Over the last 10 years as corporate partner, Manheim has contributed to funding the development of AfMA’s Fleet Management Guide, Whole of Life Cost Calculator and the contextualisation of Swinburne’s Diploma of Leadership and Management whilst three staff have completed the Diploma, Manheim also funded scholarships.

Autorola will take over this exclusive vehicle remarketing industry corporate partnership. Autorola has agreed to continue the industry scholarship for the Diploma of Leadership and Management and their contribution will directly fund the launch of AfMA’s new membership type, an Accredited Individual Supplier.

To be AfMA accredited, individual salespeople can apply for annual membership costing $165 including GST. Following payment, they must complete 5 online courses and achieve a 100% pass score. The courses are: –

  • Who is AfMA
  • Handling Conflict and Negotiation Ethically
  • Change of Responsibility
  • Work Health & Safety – the Mobile Workplace
  • Risk and Hazard Management – the Mobile Workplace

The accreditation is designed to educate salespeople on their responsibilities and those of their customers in providing a safe mobile workplace. Once accredited members will gain access to various resources to provide to their customers raising awareness of safety in the mobile workplace. These new members will be required to complete new courses each year as part of their ongoing development and membership renewal.
