The Australasian Fleet Management Association is delighted to offer three new study scholarships to successful candidates wishing to study the Diploma of Leadership and Management in 2018-19.
Run in conjunction with the Swinburne University of Technology, the Diploma of Leadership and Management is designed to assist candidates to prepare for a move into management and senior management roles across the fleet management sector. This Diploma is the ideal stepping stone for your career and provides essential leadership and management skills for all automotive and fleet industry participants.
Over the years, fleet management has become a multi-faceted and globally recognised discipline requiring a more strategic approach to the management of an important corporate resource. With a portfolio in the millions of dollars and responsibility for a variety of management functions, it is increasingly important to understand and drive the factors that influence decisions so fleet managers can meet the organisation’s business objectives. Fleet professionals can significantly influence the organisation’s business model, business plans and sustainability strategies.
Three of AfMA’s corporate partners, Hyundai, Manheim and NTT DATA Figtree Systems recognise the importance of professionalising the fleet and motor vehicle industries and have embraced an opportunity to offer annual scholarships for AfMA’s Diploma of Leadership and Management. The scholarships will be offered exclusively to AfMA’s active Corporate members, but general positions within the course are available to all interested applicants.
AfMA acknowledges the need for scholarship winners to remain independent of suppliers of products and services and therefore AfMA will ultimately decide the scholarship winners based on their detailed application and submission (ie – Corporate Partners will not be involved in selecting the scholarship winner).
Our recent graduates (pictured above) are a testament to the courses practical and financial benefits for both organisations and individuals. AfMA’s Executive Director Mace Hartley recently acknowledged the outstanding return on investment achieved by a number of the Melbourne cohort – with two projects in particular set to deliver more than 1 million dollars in additional sales and or expense savings.
“It’s a proud day for AfMA to see hard working people receive a Diploma from Swinburne University,” he said.
