Australian buyers of the new Foton T5 will now receive a new 8-year/300,000km power battery warranty.
The extended warranty is now available on all new orders, dealer stock, and demonstrator models, with the Foton T5 EV model also featuring a 5-year/200,000km general vehicle warranty.
“Looking at the EV market here in Australia, this offering easily exceeds any other similar support available, allowing Foton owners to be sure they are investing in high-quality, yet affordable technology,” said Bill Gillespie, Foton Mobility Distribution’s General Manager of Light Duty Vehicles.
“Furthermore, the trucks are backed by a nationwide dealer network from Cairns to Perth, and are supported by 24/7 roadside assistance, as provided by industry leader NTI Truck Assist,” Mr. Gillespie added.
The Foton T5 EV stands out as an electric vehicle with a unique 500kg braked towing capacity, catering to diverse fleet applications. One notable application is the T5 EV tipper, equipped with an Australian-made steel tipper body, ideal for municipal and landscaping tasks.
The model offers flexibility in Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) options, with 4,500kg and 6,000kg choices, both suitable for towing. Additionally, the T5 EV promises significant cost savings, with upfront and operational expenses approximately 20% lower than diesel counterparts.
Rapid DC charging ensures minimal downtime, providing a full recharge in 1.5 hours, while the standard 11kW AC charger takes 7.2 hours for overnight turnarounds.
The T5 EV boasts a 180km range, a comprehensive safety suite, and eligibility for a new power battery warranty contingent upon adhering to the recommended servicing schedule.
