There’s now a much nicer way to commute to the biggest awards night in cinema.

An exclusive limousine service made up entirely of Tesla Model S and Model Xes recently chauffeured Hollywood stars to the 89th Academy Awards.

One of fleet management’s more famous faces. Six degrees of separation?

The business is financed by actor Morgan Freeman, who part-owns Tesla itself, in a venture with Robert Gaskill, the business owner who approached Freeman about funding the venture.

Freeman told magazine Fast Company he’s a sole investor in Motev for the purpose of forwarding progress toward “the largest fleet of Tesla cars in the United States.”

With se7en Model Xes and four Model Ses in Los Angeles, the business plans to expand into Atlanta and New York.

The luxo fleet comes with soft chilled towels, aromatherapy oils and bottled water, plus emergency supplies of red carpet rations like double-sided tape, breath freshening sprays, and safety pins.

Drivers are properly trained and the service, costing $80 and hour plus gratuities, is bookable via a Motev app.

Gaskill says the Motev story is one Hollywood and the US can easily support.

“It’s the new Apple product,” he told Fast Company. “You’re part of an exclusive club… It makes a statement, it makes sure you will be noticed.”
