RedBook New Zealand has launched RegCheck.co.nz, a vehicle information and compliance platform covering vehicle history, registration information, valuations, specifications and driver licence checks.
The platform also includes batch reporting, allowing fleet managers to check information for multiple vehicles at once.
Vehicle and compliance information
RegCheck reports include a range of vehicle and registration information including:
- Basic NZTA checks
- Ownership and registration history
- WoF, Rego and CoF status and expiry
- Odometer readings and discrepancies
- PPSR finance checks
- Safety-related alerts
The reports use a colour-coded format, allowing information to be reviewed across multiple fields.
For fleet teams dealing with larger numbers of vehicles, the platform’s batch reporting function allows reports to be run for multiple vehicles at the same time.
This can be used when checking small or large batches of vehicles, including during vehicle onboarding, procurement or valuation exercises.
Pricing and specification information
An optional RedBook retail price guide is also available through RegCheck, providing valuation information that can be used for budgeting, insurance renewals, forecasting and remarketing.
The platform also includes RedBook specification data covering factory engine and transmission details, trim-level features, model-specific technical specifications and vehicle configuration information.
For fleet managers, the information can be used to check vehicle specifications and equipment against requirements when acquiring or managing vehicles.
Applications for fleet sales and insurance
RegCheck can help fleet managers in many ways, but two standouts are helping with vehicle information when preparing for sale and leaseback arrangements, and providing range values for fleets for insurance purposes.
The vehicle information and specification data can be used when preparing vehicles for a sale and leaseback, while the RedBook pricing information provides a reference for vehicle values for insurance purposes.
Driver licence checks
The platform also provides driver licence checks, including information on licence status and endorsements. This gives fleet and HR teams an additional way to check driver credentials as part of their compliance processes.
RegCheck includes team-based user administration and a user dashboard, allowing organisations to manage users and access alongside their vehicle reports.
This gives fleet teams the option to use the platform across different administrative functions rather than limiting it to individual vehicle checks.
Public reports support charities
The public report service includes a contribution to one of several New Zealand charities, with a portion of each public report going to KidsCan, I AM HOPE, Forest & Bird, SPCA or Brake, the road safety charity.
RegCheck brings vehicle history, registration, valuation, specification and driver licence information into one platform, with batch reporting available for fleet teams managing multiple vehicles.
