We’re pleased to release the program for the 2027 Australasian Fleet Education & Leadership Summit, taking place on 18–19 May 2027 at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse, Sydney.
Our theme, Evolving Beyond Tech, reflects the conversations many of us are having across the fleet industry. There is plenty of new technology to consider, but the questions are often practical: Will it help our people? Will it improve safety? What will it cost? And how do we make it work within our organisation?
The program brings together leadership, safety, fleet operations, AI and the decisions involved in reducing emissions, with sessions that address these questions.

A sincere thank you to our Event Partner, Toyota for Business and Toyota Fleet Management, and to all our partners and exhibitors.
Without their support, we couldn’t bring the industry together in this way or offer so many fleet operators the opportunity to attend.

What’s on the program?
Peter Baines OAM will present Leadership When It Matters Most, while Kim Seeling Smith will explore The Human Advantage in the Future of Fleet. Both sessions focus on the people and leadership skills we need as our industry changes.
For those wondering where AI might fit into their work, the program includes a live fleet AI analyst demonstration, a session on building your own fleet intelligence AI analyst, and Kim’s Everyday AI: More Time to Lead workshop.
Safety will be explored from several angles. The two-part mock trial, The Journey That Should Have Stopped, follows a case through to the verdict and debrief. Other sessions look at everyday risks, vehicle weight and the human side of being fit to drive.
We know that fleet operators are at different stages when it comes to reducing emissions. Sessions on real-world emissions testing, electric vehicle infrastructure and the cost of running a mixed fuel fleet will give delegates plenty to consider for their own operations.
Alongside these are sessions on council fleets, plant and equipment, cybersecurity, remarketing, and connectivity and power for field vehicles. The concurrent program gives you a choice of sessions, so you can spend time on the issues most relevant to your role.
There will also be time to catch up with colleagues, speak with exhibitors and continue conversations over a meal or coffee. On Tuesday evening, we’ll come together for the Industry Awards and Networking Dinner to recognise the people and organisations contributing to our industry.
Helping fleet operators attend
We want fleet operators to have the opportunity to take part, including those building their experience or preparing for greater responsibility.
If you’re considering attending, there are several pathways to explore:
- Fleet Delegate: Eligible fleet operators can attend through an invitation from an event partner or exhibitor.
- Women Under 30: Complimentary places are available through an event partner or exhibitor, subject to eligibility.
- New Corporate Member or Resource Subscriber: Eligible new members and resource subscribers can access their first Fleet Summit attendance through AfMA.
- Public Sector Scholarship: 30 complimentary places are available for eligible public sector employees.
- Industry Development Program: 100 complimentary places are available to support succession planning within organisations.
These pathways apply to people directly responsible for, or actively involved in, their organisation’s fleet operations, policy, procurement, safety, sustainability or vehicle management. They exclude fleet industry suppliers, and eligibility and conditions apply.
If there’s someone in your team who would benefit from attending, please take a look at the options together.
Explore the program, see what’s relevant to your fleet, and consider joining us in Sydney on 18–19 May 2027.
We look forward to seeing you there.
