AfMA is excited to welcome Sonja Fleming as a new member of the South Australia Chapter. Sonja brings over 10 years of experience in the automotive and fleet management industries. She is known for her customer-first approach and dedication to helping businesses succeed.
Sonja started her career in the automotive industry in 2012 and has spent the last six years as General Manager at Thyme Fleet, a fleet management company based in Adelaide. She focuses on providing flexible, personalised services that meet the specific needs of small and medium-sized businesses across Australia. Sonja is passionate about building strong relationships with her clients and working closely with them to improve their fleet operations.
During her time at Thyme Fleet, Sonja has helped the company grow by offering innovative solutions like operational leasing, which allows businesses to manage vehicles without the cost and risks of ownership. She has also been a leader in sustainability by introducing hybrid vehicles to their fleet options. This has given clients the chance to lower their emissions while also saving money, showing her commitment to helping businesses and the environment.
In 2024, Sonja joined the Women in Fleet Management (WIFM) Committee, which supports women in the fleet industry. Sonja is proud to be part of a team that focuses on creating opportunities for growth, mentorship, and leadership. She is looking forward to helping more women succeed in fleet management and is excited to work alongside other committee members to make a difference.
Outside of her professional work, Sonja actively gives back to the community. She has participated in initiatives like Unite the Fight, a campaign that raises money for cancer research through the Flinders Foundation. Her efforts show her belief in using her skills to make a positive impact in and out of the workplace.
We’re thrilled that Sonja has joined AfMA’s South Australia Chapter. Her expertise, leadership, and passion for helping others will bring fresh ideas and energy to the chapter.
Welcome, Sonja! We can’t wait to see all the great things you’ll bring to the team.
