LDV’s fully electric people mover, the MIFA 9 has received a 5-star safety rating from ANCAP Safety. This rating applies to units built from November 2022 onwards.
The vehicle scored 93 percent in Adult Occupant Protection, 88 percent in Child Occupant Protection, 73% in Vulnerable Road User Protection, and 90 percent in Safety Assist.
The MIFA 9 features dual frontal, side chest-protecting and side head-protecting airbags. It also has a centre airbag which provides added protection to front seat occupants in side impact crashes.
In addition, it has autonomous emergency braking (Car-to-Car, Vulnerable Road User, Junction Assist and Backover) as well as a lane support system with lane keep assist (LKA), lane departure warning (LDW) and emergency lane keeping (ELK) and an advanced speed assistance system (SAS) are standard equipment.
