Smartrak, an industry-leading provider of mobile workforce management solutions, held its first Virtual Academy last month. The event attracted a sold-out audience from both sides of the Tasman, with attendees from a wide range of sectors including government, education, health care, utilities, and construction.
The Virtual Academy was a response to the disruptions and limitations of COVID-19 lockdowns, which prevented the original live event from running mid-May in Auckland. The positive feedback received underscores how important digital events such as Virtual Academy are in building and maintaining customer communities, especially during a global pandemic.
“Smartrak is a member of a community of agile thinkers; our customers are users of leading-edge technologies and are generally seen as the change leaders in their organisations,” said Peter Grant, Smartrak’s CEO.
“In this community Smartrak sees its role as both a provider of solutions and a supporter of critical thinking and knowledge sharing. The Virtual Academy is therefore one element in a continuing commitment to information sharing and learning that already circulates whitepapers and blogs on emerging technologies and new thinking.”
In the coming weeks Smartrak will produce training resources for its online audience, which will supplement conversations with practical and applicable knowhow about getting the most out of Smartrak’s solutions.
“We are all still operating in challenging times, but we do have the tools to meet the issues of today and those that are emerging,” said Peter Grant. “Sharing awareness of these solutions will become increasingly important as we navigate through a post-COVID world, and I thank everyone who attended the Virtual Academy. Your participation helped to make it a success and encourages us continue and expand our engagement with you.”
