A new commercial EV has arrived in Australia! The Farizon SV Cargo Van is distributor Jameel Motors’ debut in the fleet market. The Farizon brand falls under Chinse auto group, Geely. Geely owns several other brands such as Zeekr, Polestar, and Volvo.

AfMA had the opportunity to test-drive the Farizon SV last February 14 and we can say the experience was smooth sailing. In fact, the SV’s driving experience was quite comfortable! Its seats are both heated and ventilated. The vehicle’s turning circle was equally impressive, allowing for a good range and easy manoeuvring while turning corners. This makes cornering and navigation in urban environments effortless. In addition, the SV provides the driver with a strong drive uphill or on inclines.

The electric van boasts a 400km range when fully charged with adjustable regenerative braking to power it up, while a full charge only needs 26 minutes. Fleet drivers and campers will enjoy the SV’s drive and its features, particularly for its 2-power point cargo space. Its ground-up skateboard platform has a weight sensor that displays the weight of the payload in real-time, allowing the driver to keep track of the load, which stops at 1300kg.

A 360-degree camera eliminates any driver blind spots, especially when reversing the vehicle. This is particularly useful for navigating congested urban streets and parking in tight spaces.

AfMA would like to thank Jameel Motors for inviting us to test drive the Farizon SV Cargo Van. This new addition to the commercial EV market is sure to enhance competition and innovation in the industry.  We hope to see more from Jameel Motors and Geely in Australia, and we are excited for drivers to experience the vehicle themselves!
