It’s difficult not to focus on the negative impact of COVID-19 for AfMA, our corporate and supplier members, everyone in Australia and around the world, but there is some brighter news!
I’m losing weight – as pasta, rice and chicken has been removed from my diet – and I don’t have to clean around the house because I can’t buy cleaning products. And let’s not talk about the toilet paper situation!
On a serious note, our 2020 Melbourne cohort for the Diploma of Leadership & Management is about to commence with Swinburne on the 27th March.
At a time when universities are cancelling courses, AfMA’s decision to embrace cutting edge technology and develop a blended delivery format allows our Diploma to proceed. It should be noted we have deferred the first face-to-face sessions until August and if the world hasn’t adjusted to the new normal (living with COVID-19), we can adjust the program to be entirely delivered through virtual classrooms.
Yesterday, the heaviness of the past 10 days was swept away by excitement, smiles and humbleness when I contacted the winners of the Victorian Women in Fleet Scholarships funded through Toyota and Toyota Fleet Management.
It’s truly amazing when emerging industry leaders enrol for the Diploma of Leadership & Management (that was built for them) and they share their excitement and aspirations for the future. The only thing better is calling the winners of industry scholarships!
