The ATTENTION ASSIST standard feature can increase road safety by helping to prevent microsleep on long journeys and at night. The system visually and audibly warns drivers if it identifies typical signs of fatigue or erratic driving behaviour and suggests taking a break. Steering wheel handling is analysed to generate an individual driving style profile.
A 5-stage, colour-coded bar chart visualises a driver’s current attention levels and displays it on the instrument cluster multifunction display. If ATTENTION ASSIST identifies low levels of attentiveness, an audible warning sounds and a coffee cup icon appears. The system is active at speeds between 60 and 200 km/h. You can also adjust the sensitivity levels or switch the feature off in the instrument cluster.
