AfMA is pleased to welcome Kristian Handberg as the newest member of the Victoria Chapter Committee.

Kristian brings over 20 years of experience in electric vehicles (EVs), transport innovation, and fleet operations. He is currently the Head of Future Business at JET Charge, one of Australia’s top EV charging companies. In this role, he leads strategy and commercial projects that help fleets and businesses switch to electric transport on a large scale.

Before joining JET Charge, Kristian held key roles at AGL Energy, Viva Energy, and the Victorian Department of Transport. He designed and delivered the Victorian Electric Vehicle Trial from 2010 to 2013, which involved over 80 organisations and laid the foundation for the Australian EV market. He also helped shape EV strategies at AGL and Viva, including programs like smart charging and EV subscriptions.

Kristian is known for his strong technical knowledge, clear communication, and ability to deliver complex projects. He has worked across government, industry, and consulting. He has a deep understanding of how technology, policy, and business can work together to drive change. His experience includes a wide range of projects, from charging infrastructure to heavy-duty vehicle testing. He has also helped shape energy policy for cleaner, smarter transport.

Kristian has also served on several advisory boards and task forces, including the Electric Vehicle Council and the Smart Cities Council Urban Mobility Task Force. He is currently part of the Sustainable Mobility Project, which supports greener travel in cities like Sydney. The United Nations has even recognised his work through its Partnerships for Sustainable Development Goals program.

As the automotive and transport space continues to change, AfMA warmly welcomes someone with Kristian’s background. His experience will be a valuable asset to the committee. His voice will be a valuable addition as we continue to guide and support fleet professionals across the country.

Please join us in welcoming Kristian Handberg to the AfMA Victoria Chapter Committee!
