The NSW Government’s next electric vehicle (EV) fleets incentive competitive bid round will be opening in early November. We’ve got some recommendations on how to plan ahead so you can be ready to act as soon as it opens!
How to start planning
Successful applicants have said they like to plan ahead by:
- reviewing their upcoming fleet needs
- exploring costs, models and availability with suppliers
- starting discussions with their fleet management organisation nice and early.
Don’t miss your chance to secure co-funding to support your EV transition. The competitive bid option co-funds purchases of 11 or more battery-electric vehicles. The initial bidding window opens in early November and will only be open for 5 weeks, so make sure you’re ready.

If your fleet just needs a kick-start…
If you manage a smaller fleet, or you’re interested in testing out if EVs are right for your fleet, take advantage of the kick-start funding option. This funding option is perfect for piloting and the application process is simple and streamlined. The kick-start funding only remains open until the funding is exhausted!
