The Australasian Fleet Management Association (AfMA) is delighted to announce the newest member of our South Australia Chapter Committee, Nina Abbey. With a wealth of experience in procurement and strategic sourcing, particularly for large fleets, We are thrilled to welcome her aboard and look forward to her contributions!
Nina’s professional journey began as a Maritime Warfare Officer in the Royal Australian Navy, where she served for 12 years. This role equipped her with invaluable leadership skills and a strong foundation in strategic operations. Following her naval career, Nina transitioned to enterprise risk management with the Australian Railway Track Corporation in Adelaide, further honing her strategic and analytical abilities.
For the past 13 years, Nina has been with Elders Rural Services, where she was recently appointed as the procurement and sourcing manager. In this role, she leads the fleet sourcing and procurement efforts, focusing on sustainability, strategic sourcing, and cost management. Her work at Elders has sparked a deep interest in fleet management, making her an excellent addition to the AfMA South Australia Committee Chapter.
Nina’s commitment to the industry extends beyond her professional roles. She served as a non-executive director on the board of AgSafe, a not-for-profit industry organization, for seven years. This experience underscores her dedication to contributing to industry standards and best practices, aligning perfectly with AfMA’s mission to advance fleet management excellence.
As Nina joins the AfMA South Australia Committee Chapter, we are excited about the fresh perspectives and expertise she will bring. Her background in diverse industries and her strategic approach to procurement and fleet management will be invaluable as we continue to support our members in navigating the evolving landscape of fleet management.
